Assessment Options
The Help Centre specialises in neurodevelopmental assessments. We offer the following options. Contact us directly if you are interested in a mix of the following, or if you have any further questions about what assessments include.
Autism Assessments
Our Autism (ASD) assessments for people aged 2-90 years, are used to assess and identify children and adult's neurotype and determine potential additional need for support. These assessments are vital in the identification of ASD, allowing person to access much needed support in schools or work and through funding agencies (NDIS).
An Autism Assessment can include:
- Clinical interviews with the client and carer as needed to gather important developmental history information
- Battery of psychometric surveys for the client, parents and/or teachers to complete
- Comprehensive report detailing the results and providing tailored recommendations that can be used to support the individual at home, school, or work. These reports are also often used for NDIS funding reviews to clarify the need for ongoing support.
For prospective NDIS clients, we also will provide assistance applying for NDIS, completing relevant medical evidence forms, and supporting the client and/or parent to access carer payments if needed.
ASD assessment cost: $3115 (14 hours)
ASD and ADHD cost: $3782.40 (17 hours)
ASD and Cognitive assessment: $4005 (18 hours)
ADHD Assessments
We offer comprehensive ADHD assessments for people aged 6-90 years, are used to assess and understand someone's executive functioning and ability to sustain attention.
ADHD Assessment can include:
- Clinical interviews with the client and carer as needed to gather important developmental history information
- Battery of psychometric surveys for the client, parents and/or teachers to complete
- Cognitive testing to understand any inherent cognitive strengths and weaknesses that may be contributing to difficulties
- Comprehensive report detailing the results and providing tailored recommendations that can be used to support the individual at home, school, or work.
Important: Psychologist's are not psychiatrists can cannot prescribe medication for ADHD. If you are primarily interested in medication, we recommend you go directly to a paediatrician or psychiatrist for an assessment for ADHD. Our ADHD assessments are recommended if you are interested in understanding more deeply the strengths and weaknesses in cognitive and executive functioning in different contexts, and are interested in tailored recommendations for school and/or work.

Cognitive, Learning, and ADHD: $2670 (12 hours)
Cognitive and Functional Capacity Assessment
We offer cognitive and functional assessments for people aged 6-90 years, are used to assess and understand someone's cognitive and adaptive strength's and weaknesses. This is used to identify any underlying cognitive developmental delays/intellectual developmental disorder, which is needed to support applications for NDIS and/or school funding. It also can be used to identify giftedness.
Cognitive and Functional Assessment can include:
- Clinical interviews with the client and carer as needed to gather important developmental history information
- Online survey asking about day-to-day living skills and abilities
- Cognitive testing to understand any inherent cognitive strengths and weaknesses that may be contributing to difficulties
- Comprehensive report detailing the results and providing tailored recommendations that can be used to support the individual at home, school, or work.
For prospective NDIS clients, we also will provide assistance applying for NDIS, completing relevant medical evidence forms, and supporting the client and/or parent to access carer payments if needed.
Cognitive and Functional assessment: $1780 (8 hours)
ASD and Cognitive assessment: $4005 (18 hours)
Cognitive and Learning Assessments
We offer cognitive and learning assessments for people aged 6-90 years, are used to assess and understand someone's cognitive and learning strength's and weaknesses. This assessment gathers information about your cognitive abilities through the cognitive assessment, and then compares your inherent cognitive potential to your learning/achievement. This helps identify and provide recommendation for learning, and can determine whether there is any underlying specific learning disorder (SLD, e.g., dyslexia) that may be contributing to learning difficulties.
Cognitive and Learning Assessment can include:
- Clinical interviews with the client and carer as needed to gather important developmental history information
- Cognitive testing to understand any inherent cognitive strengths and weaknesses
- Learning/Achievement testing to identify level in various domains (e.g., reading, writing, spelling, math)
- Comprehensive report detailing the results and providing tailored recommendations that can be used to support the individual at home, school, or work.
Cognitive and Learning cost: $2225 (10 hours)
Cognitive, Learning and ADHD: $2670 (12 hours)
